Where Does Yoga Come From?

Yoga is an ancient and complex practice rooted in Indian philosophy. As yoga grew in popularity, it also became known to promote physical and mental wellbeing. 

The form of yoga as known in the United States places a strong emphasis on three arms of classical yoga focuses: yoga poses (Asanas), breathing techniques (Pranayama), and meditation (Dyana). The team at Santosha Yoga works hard to bring our students back into the body, connecting the dots internally so that they can be more present in their external lives.
