Face Yoga FAQs

Face yoga is a localized version of yoga for the whole body, with an emphasis on deep toning, stretching, strengthening, and relaxation of all muscle groups of the face, head, and neck, where most of the exercises are taken from routine yogic practices thousands of years old.

Face yoga has many benefits for how you will feel mentally and physically.

Here are 8 benefits of face yoga:

  1. Helps to relieve stress, increase mental focus, and create a strong connection with your true self.
  2. Improves mood instantaneously and increases your Prana (life energy)
  3. Reduces intensity and how often you’d experience neck, head, and shoulder aches and pains.
  4. Improves eyesight and prevents potential vision and eye problems
  5. Reduces signs of fatigue and negative emotions on one’s face.
  6. Face yoga practices can include targeted massage of the ears and entire head for better mental clarity and cranial nerve stimulation.

Students do not need to bring anything to the workshop to participate, handout materials and any yoga props will be provided. We ask that students please come with clean hands and a clean face free of makeup, heavy creams, and oils.

The difference between face yoga and contemporary cosmetic face solutions is mainly the focus of attention: yoga is always concerned about the long-term health benefits for the whole person, and works with all muscles layers and body systems, while most of the anti-aging techniques concentrate primarily on the epidermal layer (skin) and appearance.

Face Yoga is a real yoga practice that many people have reported having a positive experience with. With any practice, which results and benefits a student will experience will depend on how often and consistently they practice the movements taught in our Face Yoga class. While all students can expect to feel uplifted and refreshed after a single face yoga class, it may take longer to see benefits like reduced signs of double chins, wrinkles, and long-term reduction in experiencing neck, head, and shoulder aches.

Face Yoga can be an impactful practice for reducing signs of double chins and loose skin around the face and neck. Some research has found that with consistent practice of the movements learned in our face yoga class, students can expect to be able to tone the underneath area of their jaw and face which can reduce the appearance of a double chin and loose skin around the face and neck.
