If you have back pain or hip pain, you know that it’s mostly coming because of poor posture or sitting for long hours.

Sometimes it’s the simple adjustments that will make the most difference. You will learn how to self adjust and self traction to help improve posture, stretch out your body and reduce pain. Regular practice of these yoga therapy asanas will aid in your journey of pain reduction and recovery.

Pain is a means by which our body communicates with us. When we have poor posture, we push our body out of alignment and cause unnecessary stress on various muscles and joints. Yoga aids in realigning our body. In this workshop, we will also learn about traction and how to release tension in the neck and shoulders by focusing on the muscles surrounding the upper back, neck, and shoulders.

Yoga helps to create awareness in your mind and body. When you are aware of yourself, you are more likely to maintain good posture. Additionally, we will learn how to specifically be aware of our hips and back.

Most yoga poses can help to relieve tightness in the hips and hamstrings. However, it is not just about which poses to do, but rather how to do them correctly in order to receive the benefits.

Bring an open mind to learn. We will have appropriate props in class for this workshop. You can always bring your own mat.
